Digital Narrative and Storybird

What is Digital Narrative?

Digital narrative or digital storytelling is a structure like a story which is combining of digital elements like texts,images, videos, social media or interactive elements.

STORYBIRD

Storybird is a website which you can create your own stories freely. You have 3 options to write; Longform book, picture book and poem. You can choose one of them to write. On the other hand, you can read the stories which are created by other users. Additionaly, you can add classes for your students and they can join the class on storybird. You can give assignments to them on website, they can create their own stories or you can write stories in the class together. The website is suitable for all ages and all levels. Storybird helps students to develop their writing and reading skills also helps them to improve their creativity with using their imagination.

I write a picture book. The limitation of the website I realized is that you can not add pictures to use in your story, you have to select on website but there is hundreds of pictures you can use them.
