VR requires additional equipmentsa such as headset and controllers which relates the users within the virtual world.
Ready applications for VR is available for example YouTube offers VR compatibility for some videos.

AR is an interactive experience which overlays digital images into your view of the real world through smart phones or computers. It is very popular today and it is used in nearly all of the business like architecture, marketing, job trainings, medicine and more. It builds a theoretical world in real life and provides a mixture of the real and virtual world, allowing the users to interact with both of them. It is easy to accessible and no additional equipment is needed in AR.
Also, it is used in every level and field of education.
We know the importance of the technology in language education and I want to mention that how we can benefit from Augmented Reality in language education.
Augmented Reality and Language Learning
First of all, multimedia feature of AR applications help learners to practice the words in a more meaningful an contextual way. Associating a word with a multimedia such as a video or a 3D object creates a powerful link between the word and what it refers to in reality. It increases the interaction level in the class and provides collaboration between students.
It creates better learning environment by providing more visualisation for students and improves their creativity.
